Outreach Activities
WiSE  Welcomes Your Participation in Bringing Science Activities to Children! Our Science Program at the Salinas Boys and Girls Club happens every Thursday afternoon from 3 to 5pm. Kids are between the ages of 6 and 12 and activities include anything and everything under the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) umbrella! We don't specialize and we don't discriminate! Everyone is welcome to participate...young and old, boys and girls, men and women. It doesn't matter what you know, just that you care!
WiSe also hosts a Friday Science Activity at Hartnell's Child Development Center for younger kids, 3 to 5 years old. Sign up here with your contact information and include your availability as well as which age group you'd prefer to work with. Remember, Colleges look for well rounded students that are active in their community! Set yourself apart from the rest of the crowd that shares your GPA (or better), do something important for a child AND have a blast!
